This is perhaps the greatest apologetics work by the C.S. Lewis. In "Mere Christianity", C.S. Lewis applies common sense to the debate between Christianity and atheism. In this monumental book, C.S. Lewis begins by presenting a concise case for Christianity. He does this by arguing for what is commonly referred to as the "moral law". Lewis also develops a great argument using what is now referred to as the "argument from desire". Throughout the book, he inserts moments of his own personal experience, creating a personal feel to the book.
After creating a case for Christianity, C.S. Lewis attempts to help his readers better understand some of the more difficult theological points--all the while reaffirming that his readers should try to understand Christianity on their own. The combination of common sense teaching on Christianity, the personal feel of the book, and the constant push to do your own research has made "Mere Christianity" one of the greatest works on Christianity to ever be written. "Mere Christianity" is sure to continue to be read for generations!
